March this year has been so wet I have been unable to anything more at all to the vegetable patch.
Today I did manage to get a row of Broad Beans sown. The variety I am trying is called “Imperial Green Longpod”. This according to the catalogue is a tall growing variety which produces extra-long pods up to 14in (35cm) long and up to nine tasty beans per pod of the green seeded variety.
I will let you know how well I get on with the crop as time goes by.
